    Operating Principle of Industrial Ice Machines

    1.  Municipal water is pumped to the top spray system, where it is evenly distributed over the surface of the vertical evaporator plates or tubes (temperature range: -15°C to -20°C);

    2. Once the compressor starts, the refrigerant undergoes suction, compression, discharge, condensation (liquefaction), and throttling in sequence before entering the evaporator;

    3. When the water contacts the low-temperature evaporator surface, the initial layer of water instantly freezes to form ice nuclei; subsequent water layers freeze progressively on the ice nuclei, forming a uniform ice layer (freezing temperature range: -5°C to -10°C).

    4.  When the ice layer reaches the preset thickness, the system activates the defrost mode via a solenoid valve, introducing high-temperature refrigerant gas into the evaporator to melt the ice; alternatively, an ice scraper is used to remove the surface ice layer, completing one cycle.


    Usage Tips for Industrial Ice Machines


    To ensure long-term stable operation and extend the service life of the equipment, the following usage guidelines must be adhered to:


    • Installation Environment Requirements: Avoid high temperatures and direct sunlight. The equipment should be placed in a well-ventilated area with ambient temperatures not exceeding 35°C to ensure efficient condenser heat dissipation.

    • Installation Standards: Provide sufficient clearance around the equipment (at least 30 cm at the back and sides, and over 60 cm above) and ensure the floor is level and stable.

    • Power Supply Setup: Equip the system with an independent power circuit, install fuses and residual current devices (RCDs), and ensure reliable grounding of the equipment.

    • Regular Maintenance: Clean the inlet valve filter every two months; regularly remove dust from the condenser using a vacuum cleaner or brush; disinfect and clean water pipes, water tanks, and ice storage bins periodically; during extended shutdowns, clean and dry the internal components thoroughly and store the equipment in a dry, well-ventilated area.
