Aggregate Cooling System

Reliable Cooling for Harsh Industrial Environments

FSE's aggregate cooling system is designed to control the temperature of coarse aggregates, such as gravel, used in concrete production. By efficiently cooling the aggregates before mixing, these systems help reduce the overall temperature of the concrete. This prevents thermal cracking and ensures uniform curing of the concrete. FSE's solutions are optimized for high-temperature environments. They provide reliable cooling performance and ensure consistent concrete quality under extreme conditions.

Operating Condition of Aggregate Cooling System

During concrete batching, ice or cold water is added to lower the concrete temperature. However, for large-scale concrete pours, such as dams, a lower discharge temperature (<14°C) is often required to ensure pour quality. In such cases, aggregate cooling system must be used in conjunction with aggregate silos. The air coolers first cool the air, which is then blown into the silos by fans to cool the aggregates. If the aggregates are cooled by 2°C, the concrete discharge temperature can be reduced by approximately 1°C. The aggregate air-cooling system can be configured based on the aggregate cooling capacity.
